Reimagining - Sad Boyz 4 Life 2
For this redesign, I chose Sad Boyz 4 Life 2 by Junior H, a project that carries a raw emotional tone and a dark, romantic energy. I wanted the visuals to reflect that same mood—something intense and symbolic, but still rooted in storytelling.
I started the process with pencil and paper, sketching ideas before moving into digital. Going analog first allowed me to be more expressive and experimental with the direction. The final design features a Medusa-like figure representing heartbreak, entrapment, and vulnerability—echoing the themes often found in Junior H’s lyrics. The back cover leans into anatomical and surreal imagery, using a broken stone heart pierced by an arrow, surrounded by veins that spell out the track list. The red and black gradient background across both covers reinforces the drama and depth of the album’s emotional core, while the hand-drawn linework keeps it gritty and personal.
This redesign was all about matching the mood of the music with visuals that felt both mythical and grounded in pain—just like the songs.
